American Water Works Association
South Dakota American
Water Works Association (SDAWWA) was established in the late
1950's. SDAWWA is a non-profit group that is affiliated
with the American Water Works Association. Through
education, training, and technical support SDAWWA, in
partnership with the South Dakota Water and Wastewater
Association (SDWWA),
South Dakota Water Environment Association (SDWEA), South
Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems (SDARWS),
and South Dakota Department of Environment and Natural Resources
(DENR),
is dedicated in ensuring safe drinking water for the residents
of South Dakota.

Scheltens from Hot Springs, SD is
on the EPA Workgroup to help advise EPA on revising the
provisions of the Total Coliform Rule. He is making
trips to DC about twice a month for meetings.
If any Section members have information, ideas, or concerns
on this topic he would like to hear from them. He can also
use pictures that would help illustrate the particular
problems that small systems face with the TCR rule.
